ELX website privacy policy

The ELX website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or trackers, and does not store anything you type into the contact form. This page explains, in plain terms, what happens to your data when you browse the site or message us.

Last updated: 22 September 2026

In short

The site uses no cookies or trackers and does not store what you type into the form. Apart from the standard technical logs a server may keep, the only information that reaches us is what you choose to send yourself on WhatsApp, and we use it to answer your request.

Who we are and what this policy covers

This website (elxsa.com) is the product website for ELX, the bilingual cloud system by Matrix for managing the work orders of electricity-network contractors in Saudi Arabia. This policy covers the product website in both its Arabic and English versions.

It does not cover the data that companies enter into the ELX system itself, a cloud (SaaS) service that Matrix hosts and operates separately from this website. For questions about that data, please contact us directly.

What data does the website collect while you browse?

The website collects no personal data about you while you browse, apart from the standard technical logs a server may keep (see below). It is a set of static pages (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) generated in advance, with no database, no admin panel and no server-side code that receives visitor data. In practice this means:

  • No cookies, and nothing saved in your browser’s local storage.
  • No analytics or visitor statistics, no advertising, and no tracking tags or pixels.
  • Nothing loaded from third parties: no external web fonts, no embedded maps or videos, no social media buttons.
  • The site never asks for your location, camera or microphone, and its security settings block such access in the browser.

What happens when you use the contact form or WhatsApp buttons?

The contact form does not send your data to us directly. It works inside your browser, like this:

  1. Your browser drafts the message

The form combines what you type, plus a link to the page you sent it from, into one text message. Only your name and message are required; company, mobile number and city are optional, and the interest you pick from the list is added to the message.

  2. WhatsApp opens

Your browser opens WhatsApp addressed to the official ELX number with the message ready. The draft travels to WhatsApp (Meta) inside the wa.me link and stays in your browser history, but it never reaches this website’s server.

  3. You decide when to send

The message reaches the ELX team only when you press Send inside WhatsApp, and you can edit or delete it before that.

  4. After you send it

The message reaches the ELX team on WhatsApp. How WhatsApp carries and stores it is governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.

The “Chat on WhatsApp” buttons across the site work the same way: they open a chat with an opening message that includes the page title and link, which you can edit before sending.

How do we use the messages we receive?

The ELX team uses what you send to answer your question, arrange a demo, and provide the technical support Matrix offers ELX customers on WhatsApp. We never ask for passwords or card details through this website, so please do not include them in any message.

What technical logs may the server keep?

As with most websites, the server or hosting provider that delivers these pages may keep standard technical access logs, such as IP address, request time, the page requested and browser type. These logs are created automatically and are typically used to run and protect the service. We do not add any analytics or advertising tool to the website’s pages.

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). You can read more about how the website is protected on our security page.

Some pages and articles link to external websites, such as official government sites, reference sources, the Matrix website and WhatsApp. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy and we do not control how they handle your data, so we recommend reviewing their policies when you visit them.

What are your rights under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law?

According to the guidance published by SDAIA, Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law was approved by Royal Decree No. M/19 dated 9/2/1443H and came into force on 14 September 2023, and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) is its competent authority. The law gives individuals rights, exercised under its conditions, that include:

  • Being told the legal basis and purpose for collecting their data.
  • Accessing their personal data.
  • Obtaining their data in a clear, readable format.
  • Having their data corrected, completed or updated.
  • Asking for their data to be destroyed.
  • Withdrawing their consent to processing at any time.

Because this website keeps no visitor data, what we may hold about you is what you sent us on WhatsApp, plus any technical logs described above. To exercise any of these rights for your messages, write to the official number shown on our contact page. For what the law means for contracting companies, read our guide to the Saudi PDPL for contractors.

How can you contact us about privacy?

For any question about this policy or about information you have sent us, reach us on WhatsApp through the contact page and mention that your question is about privacy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the website or the way you contact us changes. The current version is always published on this page, with the last-updated date at the top.
